A Little Build: T-16 Skyhopper #75081

box art

T-16 Skyhopper
So I got T-16 Skyhopper (#75081) for 15€ and it was worth it. It was a fast build and I had no problems. But the best thing was the new Tusken raider minifigure, so many awesome details. But why only one, we need more.

Building Droid Gunship (#75042), part 6: The Minifigs

With Droid Gunship (#75042) we get four minifigs that are better for army building than for collecting unique ones (Chewie fit's in a random wookiee army). Standard battle droid and super battle droid are not rare or very exiting but they're nice add to your droid army. More tips for building a droid army

41st Elite Corps Trooper is a nice add but we get two of them in Kashyyyk Troopers battle pack (#75035) so not a very rare one either. So the minifigs are not very awesome, atleast there could be a few more droids or clones. But overall Droid Gunship's been a nice little build.

My First MOC!

This is my first MOC that I got ready. It took about 2 hours to build it. I'm gonna build one from every SW movie, some maybe in minifigure scale.

Microsize MOC including the Trade Federation Droid Control Ship, Naboo Starfighters and Vulture droids, designed and built by Battle Droid Bricks. All bricks are from S@H PaB except the lightsaber. Contains over 600 bricks.

Sadly my camera is pretty old so the quality is what it is.

Building Droid Gunship (#75042), part 5: Done!

Here we go, three photographs telling you about the details and here's my personal quick overview: It was such a fun build. But there was not much to build and it was very easy, even for smaller kids, I guess. It's most likely going to retire in the end of the year, I really recommend to pick it up if you can. Now I'm looking forward getting AT-AP (#75043)...

It's not over yet. Part 6: The minifigs is coming up!

And coming up later on: The Epic Sandcrawler

Comparing Two Yodas

Yoda is an epic SW character, ins't he? I have quite a few Yodas and here you can see two of them, a really old one (2002) and a CW version (2009). The biggest differences are head pieces and lightsabers. The old head is only green and the lightsaber is a bit lame. It is a recognizable Yoda anyways. On the other hand the new one is a bit more childish. You can see how LSW has changed from the early years, in good and bad.

Coming up more old versus new minifig - comparasions.

Death Star (#10188) - Speculation Goes On

Death Star...
Retired?
Retired!
Not retired!
Out of stock expected ship date 11 sept 2015...?
As the speculation goes on and on and now it seems we might get more Death Stars, I desided to leave the speculating for those who want and just share a picture what's going on inside the DS.

Battle Droid Bricks Theme Post #1

As the blog is called Battle Droid Bricks, today I'm gonna say a few words about one brick from a battle droid: super battle droid's arm with blaster.

TLG has introduced a few different super battle droids. One version includes this blaster arm and it has appeared in these two CW sets: #7869 Battle For Geonosis and #8018 Armored Assault Tank (AAT). AAT includes three of them, Battle For Geonosis only one.

BTW This is just CW... if you want an epic super battle droid, get this: #7163 Republic Gunship. No blaster arms, but also a not-that-nice price tag. It has retired a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Building Droid Gunship (#75042), part 4

Upside down

What's going on with that torso? The back is on the front!
Bag 4 was the fastest one 'till now.  It contained the rest of the minifigs as well. I'll share you some photographs including the minifigs later on.

Building Droid Gunship (#75042), part 3

So bag 3 has been assemled! I guess these two photographs tell you more than a thousand words but anyway... Bag 3 was an easy and very fast build and I had no problems with it. Bags 4 and 5 still left so stay up to date.

Where To Keep Your Lego Star Wars, part 2

New set waiting for display space.
Displaying big sets is not always easy.

So here we go with part 2... I'm gonna share a few thoughts about where to keep your Lego Star Wars. In part 1 I talked about keeping sets inside boxes. That's easier, maybe, but not that great. They don't collect dust, but what do you do with them?

The best thing is of course to keep your Lego Star Wars MOCs or assembled sets in display cases. That costs a bit but it looks quite impressive.

You can keep them on a table as well. But there are some little problems: they might drop and you have to clean them (they collect dust pretty fast).

If you have limited display space, how do you choose which sets should be displayed and which sets should wait for their time inside their boxes? Here's my opinion:
1. MOCs, they're more interesting as they're unic
2. UCS models, they're simply awesome
3. Clone/Droid Armies, they're ment for display, aren't they?

Shopping Lego In Sweden

I was on a short trip in Sweden and inspired by that decided to write an overview about shopping Lego (Star Wars) in Sweden.

It's not a great idea to buy a lot of Lego from Sweden. Lego sets cost more than in the US and Germany, just to mention some countries. What comes to Finland, microfighters are a little bit more expensive in some stores, but that's it.

If you find a great discount or decide to buy Lego from Sweden for another reason, you might visit for example BR, TRU or Ã…hlens. From BR you get stickers worth 5% of what you paid and you can use them next time or get them paid as money.

What would you like to see in this blog? Now you can contribute!
